Our Brands

We represent the best of the best when it comes to European bed linens — Yves DeLorme from France, Peacock Alley,  Scandia Home (formerly Scandia Down), Nancy Koltes, Sferra, SDH (the Purists/Legna/Ygle) and many more.

We’ve sold Yves DeLorme since we opened in 1994 and were their largest Corner store in 2009.  Known for their wonderful classic french prints and their Palace Collection of couture linens, we also sell hundreds of their towels and robes.

Peacock Alley imports the majority of their linens from Europe and has a strong designer look to their bedding.  They have always been and continue to be the strongest player in the matelasse market.   Although we sell  all of their products — nationwide the most popular items are their All Season Blanket, the Virtuoso sheets and all their towels.

Until you sleep under a Scandia  Home down comforter or sleep on one of their pillows, you have no idea why their down products are so superior to others on the market! Scandia ranks as one of those in the 10% of the world that uses European down (not Chinese down) and cleans their product extensively to eliminate the allergens and leave you with the fluffy down clusters.

Although we dabbled in Sferra linens for years, it wasn’t until about 5 years ago that we began stocking it and their 1891 by Sferra line in our store.  A wonderful old Italian company, Sferra is a brand known on Park Ave and the east and west coast. And we are proud to be able to educate our local customers on the exquisite quality of their collections! Look to Sferra for the highest thread count linens (1020), the only jacquard woven percale, matelasses in wonderful colors and the St Moritz blanket.

Nancy Koltes weaves all of her fabrics at the finest factories in Italy and then fabricates the finished product here in the U.S. Nancy fills a niche occupied by no others — and has a large collection of wonderful jacquard weaves in subtle patterns that make a beautiful bed! Since the fabric is located here, a client can decide to have any custom size or design that they can think of. The most popular pattern over the years is Eleanor’s Ribbon — a beautiful ribbon band hemstitched into the top of the duvet, on the hem of the sheets and into the cases and the shams.

SDH is a company with three major lines, the majority of which come from Germany.  The first line, The Purists, are all natural products with no dyes — a forerunner to organic, which they also now have in the line.  Many of the patterns represented in the Purists group become part of the YGLE collection when they are dyed a color (or even white).  Lastly, the Legna line is a collection of 100% beechwood woven sheets and duvets — a fabric that has a hand like Charmeuse silk but launders wonderfully!

Besides the above, we carry many other lines in our store — such as Habidecor rugs and Abyss towels, Weathered Stone Textiles Bamboo towels, Anichini linens, Ann Gish linens, RB Casa linens, DeMedici linens,  bath accessories from Labrazel, Mike & Alley and Pearl Dragon and a whole group of baby bedding.  And, we will be adding several organic lines to our groupings when we launch our second website in the fall of 2010 — www.organiclinensanddown.com.
