Linen Concierge Service

We offer a variety of services to our clientele that we like to call our “Linen Concierge Service”.

First, we offer house calls at no charge.  From needing a new duvet cover to redoing all the bedrooms, we can help.  Generally we make a house call to see your existing color palette, carpet colors and style of furnishings and then we make a second house call with samples of linens that we think will work.  We also offer a check out service at the store so you can take home samples to see in your own space before you buy. Currently, we helped a client who had just finished a major remodel of her summer home on Long Island unpack, size and distribute all her pillows, blankets and down comforters — as well as her existing bedding and then we put together a plan for what she needed in all her spaces.

In this day of the internet, if we can’t get to you, we can always work from good pictures and make recommendations and ship samples for you to peruse.

Secondly, we offer free steaming on many of your purchases, from bedskirts to duvet covers to tablecloths.  And with the newer bedskirts that come on panels, we can come to your home and install them for you.  All at no additional charge.

Lastly, we handle a number of our clients cleaning needs.  When you have a Scandia Down product, you can bring it to us and we can ship it off to them to be cleaned and/or reticked and restuffed. Cleaning generally takes about a week or ten days and we recommend bringing in on a Monday for shipping for the quickest turnaround.

We have had a wonderful relationship with Blanc Plume cleaners for over 10 years now and offer french laundering of non-Scandia down, bed linens, matelasses and table linens.  Blanc Plume picks up at our shop every Friday afternoon at 2:00 and the linens are taken to their facility in Kansas City.  They do everything, but are known for their washing of matelasses, where they premeasure them and air dry them back to original size on specially made stretchers.

We also use Linens Limited in Milwaukee — an old German laundry — when your item is priceless.  They handle a lot of Park Ave linens and know how to handle the very best.  We have had them restore baby christening gown, clean and package a wedding dress, clean old Madeira hand drawn work tablecloths and linens that were old family heirlooms and clean and restore a local woman’s collection of family table linens that went through a basement flood. Because we work with so many of the different fabrics out there, we can guide you to which source is the best for your cleaning needs.
